Alessandra Laurann Phipps

Alessandra "Sassy" "Aly" Phipps, 17, passed away on June 12, 2026. Beloved Daughter of Tom and Jackie Phipps. Dearest Sister of William, Charlotte, and Eleanor. Loving Granddaughter of Thomas and the late Laura Phipps, and Bob and Celina Castaneda; and Great-Granddaughter of Jose L. Hernandez. Fond Niece of Rachel, Hannah, and Franny Phipps; Raquel (Steve) Janes, Candice Castaneda, and Lauren (Chris) Johnson; and Great-Niece of Nestor Hernandez and the late Nancy Hernandez, and Deanne and the late Mark Larsen. Awesome Cousin of Isla and Atlas Neria; Tre Phipps; Savanna Phipps, Ashton and Alex Denning; Giuliana Castaneda; and Elijah, Ezra, and Elliott Johnson. Friend to all whom she knew.

Alessandra was a lifelong resident of Lisle and a proud student of the Lisle School District. She was deeply loved by both her teachers and classmates and was known for her kind heart and friendly spirit. In fact, Aly was sometimes late to class because she would go out of her way to stop and greet a friend, always eager to brighten someone’s day.

Aly was an accomplished athlete who earned numerous medals and state-level honors in basketball, bowling, and track and field. She also took great pride in her heritage, choosing to study Spanish so she could better communicate with and connect with her older relatives.

Above all, Aly will be remembered for the joy she brought to everyone around her. She had a remarkable ability to light up every room she entered and found genuine happiness in making others smile. Her sense of humor, warmth, and boundless compassion left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Most of all, Aly loved people wholeheartedly, and that love will continue to be felt by those fortunate enough to have known her.

A Visitation for Alessandra will take place Sunday, June 21, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave. Lisle, IL 60532. Funeral to follow on Monday, June 22, 2026, with family gathering at the funeral home at 10:00 AM, processing to Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL for a graveside service and interment.
