Was very hard to read this. Having her as my second mom and neighbor for so long. Her love for her family and church. Cookies, sleep overs, and coming when my mom had passed. Biggest heart in the world. You will be missed and always remembered.

Mrs. Dimpfl.  When I was young, Connie Dimpfl was my best friend.  Connie lived around the corner from me.  I was about 
 7 years old when I first went over to Connie's house to play.  Mrs. Dimpfl was a kind and gentle person with a fun loving spirit.  She liked to laugh.  Mrs. Dimpfl had a hard job too, raising six children.  I was at their house so often, I thought I was their seventh child!  But Mrs. Dimpfl didn't seem to mind and always treated me kindly.  This kindness has had a positive life long impact on me.   One day, when I was at the Dimpfl's house, we were playing outside with the other neighbor kids.  Another child and I got into a "scuffle" and I went back to Connie's house crying.  Mrs. Dimpfl came outside and sat with me on their side steps and put her arm around me to comfort me.  She gave me the advice of "turning the other cheek" and made me feel better.  Mrs. Dimpfl was a good Christian lady.  Another time, us kids were sitting on the front stoop, as we so often did during warm weather.  All of a sudden I saw Mrs. Dimpfl running full speed toward the street.  I had never seen her run before.  There in the middle of the street was one of the neighbors toddlers.  Mrs. Dimpfl swooped up the small child in her arms, saving the child.  It happened so quickly, that it was all over before anyone really thought what had just happened or might have happened.  Mrs. Dimpfl was a very good mother, always there, always on duty.  Reflecting back on my youth, those crucial developmental years, Mrs. Dimpfl was a good role model, showing patience, kindness and love.  Mrs. Dimpfl was following Jesus's greatest command.  And during this sorrowful period for those of us who appreciated and loved Mrs. Dimpfl, I am reminded of God's everlasting promises in John 3:16 and John 14: 1-6.  And I think to myself that someday I will go visit Mrs. Dimpfl again, this time in her new house, and we will sit on her front stoop and talk and laugh and have a fun loving time.

My sincere sympathy to the family of Alice Jean Dimpfl.   I share in your loss as she was my dear friend since 1965. 

Praise to God for her gift of friendship.  Alice was a generous, loving, loyal,  hard-working gal who always thought of others first.  

I am blessed to have known her and will never forget her caring ways.

Dimpfl Family-  We are so sorry about Alice.  She was the sweetest woman.  Our world will be a poorer place without her in it.

She was one of the first people to greet us to the neighborhood, when we moved in over 45 years ago.   I will miss her- miss her smile, miss sitting on the bench in the front yard, exchanging family news and watching the world pass by, miss having tea with you and the neighbor ladies.
