Anita "Susie" Mahlum, former resident of LaCrosse, WI, passed away at her home in Lisle, IL on September 12, 2012. She was preceded in death by her mother Carole Soffa, father Leo Soffa and ex-husband Louis "Bud" Mahlum. She worked at the University of Wisconsin in LaCrosse retiring July 1, 1992 after 21 years of service. She is survived by her daughter Paula Utterback of Lisle, IL; her grandsons Brian of Aurora IL, Joseph (Erin) of Denver, CO, and Trevor of Salem, OR; great grandson Neko; her son Randy Mahlum (Susan); granddaughters Meredith and Jessica of Durham, NC; sister Judy Kimball of Apopka, FL; brothers Gerald Soffa (Joyce) Onalaska, Rodney Soffa (Karen) Onalaska and Steve Soffa (Laurie) of West Salem. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 3-9 pm with funeral services at 7 pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave. (on Rt. 53, 1/2 mile south of Ogden Ave./ Rt. 34) Lisle, IL.
