Anthony W. Zapalik

Anthony W. Zapalik, age 86, US Army Veteran, passed away on August 1, 2026. Loving husband of Carol Zapalik, nee Freeman; Beloved father of Scott (Josephine) Zapalik; Cherished grandfather of Anthony Zapalik; Dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, William and Stella Zapalik, along with his sisters, Bonnie (Chuck) Estes and Mary Zapalik. Memorial Visitation will be held at St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 551 N Rush St, Itasca, IL 60143, on Thursday, August 20, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, where an 11:00 am Funeral Mass will follow. Inurnment will be held privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL at a later date.
