Davey R. Cates

Davey R. Cates, Born December 16th, 1980, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of Tuesday, July 29th, 2025. Davey leaves behind his two daughters, Hailey Jean and Elliana Rose, who meant the world to him. Davey will be missed and remembered by his wife, Gina, and parents Denise and David Cates. Davey was a beloved brother to Leslie Davis (Kurt) and Jamie Cates (Dianna); a beloved uncle to Jackson and Lucas (James Cates) and Ty (Leslie Cates).

Davey will be remembered by his dedication and commitment to his girls, his family, his work family and all those who knew him. Davey had a contagious smile and laughter that touched all of those who encountered it. Davey was well known for his loyalty and hardworking ethics as he was a Crane operator with Stevenson Crane for over twenty years.

Davey touched the hearts of many, and every one of them will ache for a long time.

A visitation for Davey will be held Sunday, August 3, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle, IL 60532.
