Donald J. Clinkert of Glen Ellyn, born December 10, 1938 in Chicago, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 9, 2026 at the age of 87. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary, of nearly 65 years; his loving children Donna (the late David) Thompson, Paul Clinkert, Mary (Mark) Schuler, and Karen (Sherman) Paggi; his grandchildren Christopher (Megan) Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Elizabeth Bianco (great-granddaughter Olivia), and Nathan Thompson; Cale Clinkert; and Luke Paggi. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Veronica Clinkert, his three sisters and a brother, and is survived by his brother Robert Clinkert, and was a cherished uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was a devout Catholic, and will lie in state Monday, March 16th, 2026 at 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Petronille Catholic Church in Glen Ellyn, IL. Interment Mount Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
