Danielson, Donald DeLoyce, 97, of Aurora, Illinois. U.S. Navy Veteran. Passed on November 10, 2024. Beloved Husband of the late Charlotte Danielson; Loving Father of Leslie Chaussey (Rick), Dawn Wilda (the late Stephan Wilda), Douglas Danielson and Kimberly Farinelli (the late Scott Farinelli); Cherished grandfather of Christopher Chaussey (Amanda), Erik Chaussey (Alison), Sara Mitchell-Meek (Ryan), the late Matthew Chaussey, Brittany Gorte (Christopher), Stacy Williams, Shelby Danielson, Ashley Farinelli, Bailey Danielson, Michael Farinelli and Kelsey Danielson; Great-grandfather of ten; Loving Brother to Myron “Pete” Danielson (Nancy), Norma Halverson (Merlin) and the late Curtiss Danielson (Helen); Loving uncle and great uncle to many. Served in World War II (Radio Man), the Korean Conflict (Navy Chaplain) and the Vietnam War (Navy Chaplain). After his military service, he served as Chaplain and then Chief of Chaplain Services during his 24 years at the V. A. Westside Hospital in Chicago. Memorial will be at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 815 S. Washington Street, Naperville, IL at 10:00 a.m. on February 22, 2025, followed by Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment private.
