Dorothy J. Blessing, nee Floyd, passed on August 3, 2026, at the age of 102. Dorothy was born on September 5, 1923 in Yanktown, South Dakota. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil (Simmion) Floyd and Gracie May Carney, her husband Donald G., her brothers Howard, Virgil Jr, and Raymond Floyd, and her sister Cora (Corkie) Martie. Dorothy is survived by her children, Donald Jr. (Brenda) and Dianne (William) Talaga, her grandchildren Randy (Donna), Ray (Trudy), Brenda (Tim) Cooper, Rebecca (Chris) Pinkerton, Mike (Leticia) Roesel, Mark (Cheryl) Roesel, Matthew Roesel, and Gina (the late Scott) Parejko, 27 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at a later date.
