Elaine C. Sumner, age 94, passed away on June 21, 2025. Loving wife of the late Earl J. Sumner; Beloved mother of Nancy (Ed) Fiala, Mary Jane Berland, Michael Sumner, Patricia (Eric) Heinekamp, and Thomas Sumner; Cherished grandmother of 14; Adored great-grandmother of 24; Dear sister of 9; Aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Wendel and Beatrice Doerr. Visitation for Elaine will be from 10-11 AM on Tuesday, July 1 at St. Joan of Arc Church, 820 Division St, Lisle, IL 60532, where an 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial will follow.
