

Our beloved father, Francis Joseph Daly, Jr., passed away on January 28th, 2025, peacefully at the age of 92. Frank “Bud” was born to Joseph and Evelyn in Chicago. After he graduated from St. Philip’s High School, Bud opened an auto parts store in Warrenville, IL with his friends, Tim and Ralph. Bud met his wife Mary at a dance and they married in 1960, later celebrating 52 wonderful years together until Mary’s passing in 2012. In the early 80s after a life changing moment with Fr. Lennon at Ss. Peter and Paul, he transitioned to sales, kickstarting a successful 30-year career. Throughout his life, Bud was incredible at making life-long friends at every stage, always staying in touch. Bud was an avid sports fan always rooting for his favorite teams including Notre Dame, the Bears and the Cubs finally seeing the Cubs win the world series in 2016. In 2000, Bud retired and spent his time traveling throughout the world with his beloved wife Mary. Their favorite place to go was Ireland where they often took their children. He truly taught the family what true love is in life. Bud was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Evelyn, his brother William Daly and his two sisters Mary Patricia "Pat" Storto and Evelyn "Sally" Tully. Bud is survived by his loving children, Timothy (Roisin) Daly and Janet (Kyle) Melancon. and is the proud grandfather of Hannah and Kyle Melancon and Kieran and Aidan Daly. Visitation for Bud will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle, Illinois 60532. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 with 10:00am prayers at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 36 N Ellsworth St, Naperville, Illinois 60540, Mass 11am. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
