Gene L. Padgett, 72, passed away at home on March 23, 2016, surrounded by family. Cherished husband for 40 years to Mary, nee Skopis; Proud father of Christina (Mike) Bellezza, Anna Padgett and Anthony Padgett; Adored grandfather of Anthony, Nicholas and Sophia Bellezza and Alexandria Spalla; Brother-in-law of Betsy (Joe) Guerra, Tony Skopis and Chris (Heidi) Skopis; Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Gene will be taking his beloved 1967 Sunbeam Tiger for an eternal ride into the sunset. Gene adored his grandchildren, his true pride and joy in life.
A visitation will be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Avenue, Lisle, on Thursday, March 31st, form 4-9 PM. A funeral service will also be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 1st, at 11 AM. Burial at Bethania Cemetery, Justice, IL.
