George Charles Andel age 91 of Downers Grove passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Marylin Jean Andel (nee Rosinski). Loving father of Donna J. (Tom) Pelletier, Chari L. (Greg) Huber, Jean M Wojcik, Sue E Andel. Dear grandfather of Diana, Derek, David, Wilson, Vanessa, Emily, Mackenzie, Jack, Richard M., Michael, Annmarie, Tracy, Adam, Lyneth, Philip, and Connor. Dearest great grandfather of 10. Beloved brother of Peggy Brosig. He is preceded in death by his parents George John and Estelle Andel, two grandchildren Richard C. Wojcik, Sarah Dressler and Walter Brosig, husband of Peggy. A visitation (celebration of life) will be held at Blake Lamb Funeral Home in Lisle from 3PM to 8PM on Thursday, August 7th. Mass will be Friday, August 8th 9:30am at Holy Trinity Church in Westmont.
A military interment will be held for immediate family only at 12:30 pm on Monday, August 11th, at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery, Joliet Illinois.
