George William Fender Jr.

George is the loving Husband to Janet Fender; loving and dedicated father to Jeffrey (Katherine) Fender and Todd (Gabrielle) Fender; Step-Father to Barbara Gorkis, Steven (Kathy) Gorkis, Frank (Kathleen) Gorkis; beloved Grandfather, Bradley, Brandon, Ashley, Victoria, Benjamin, and Nathaniel Fender, Step-Grandfather to Matthew and Kevin Gorkis, Colleen (Chris) Jones, Brendan, Ian, and Ryan Gorkis; beloved Son to the late Genevieve Fender; cherished Brother to the late Michael Fender.

George was a union electrician for Local #134 and worked for Super Electric Company for most of his career, where he spent a majority of his career at the Equitable Building in Chicago. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved being outside hunting and fishing. In his spare time, he loved working in the yard (especially raking leaves) and working around the house.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 25th, 2020 at Blake Lamb- Lisle Funeral Home (5015 Lincoln Ave.; Lisle, IL 60532) from 2:30-6:00 pm, with a prayer service at 5:30 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made towards to catchadream.org or The American Red Cross.
