George was a loving husband, having been married for more than 60 years to Dolores who preceded him in death. He was a devoted father to his three children: George, Dan, and Tom, as well as a caring father-in-law to Tracey and Karl. George also took great pride in being a grandfather to Noah and Liam.
George proudly served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. A man of deep faith, George was an active member of St. Scholastica Parish, where he served as a leader of song. His love of music and worship allowed him to share his gifts with the parish community and others around him.
For many years, George was an active assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 512, where he enjoyed helping young people learn, grow, and develop the values of scouting. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, underscoring his commitment to faith and community service.
George found simple pleasures in life. He was an avid birdwatcher and enjoyed gardening later in life. He took great pride in his garden and generously shared its bounty with family, friends, neighbors, and the local food pantry.
George will be remembered for his commitment to family, his kindness, his willingness to serve, his love of music and nature, and the quiet ways he made a difference in others' lives. His family will miss him deeply.
