Gregory P Allen

Gregory Phillips Allen, aged 64, passed away on Dec. 11, 2025 after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Glen Ellyn and Wheaton, Illinois. He graduated from Glenbard West High School in 1979 and from Carroll College in 1982.

Greg is survived by his older brother, Christopher Noble Allen; aunts and uncles Bruce Allen, Tamzen Allen Talman and Chun Cha Allen, and a number of close cousins. Greg also leaves behind many lifelong, cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Nobel Allen and Leila Phillips Allen Ivins; grandparents Kenneth and Sylvia Phillips, Dorothy Keene Allen and Jack Garner Allen; aunts and uncles Kim James Allen, Bob and Diane Firchau, Kenneth Jr. and Dorothy Phillips, and Kay Phillips Braulik with whom he was very close.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lake Ellyn Boathouse from 4:30-7:30pm on Dec. 29, 2025. The service will begin promptly at 4:45pm, with a light, casual dinner and fellowship to follow. There will be a private family burial at a date to be determined.
