My heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Helen. We just found out of her passing on the internet, and although we never met or spoke with her, we thought of her and her family frequently.  Rest in peace dear cousin.

 I was greatly saddened to hear of Helen's passing. May I extend my condolences to her children, Family and, friends. I worked and shared a classroom with Helen at Calumet High School in Chicago. I admired her very much, both personally and professionally. It was a privilege to have worked with her and counted her as a friend. Helen was a grand person and a great teacher. She was very special to all her students. I feel so fortunate to have known and worked with her.
May I offer deepest sympathy  during this difficult time and extend my commiseration to all who are saddened by her death. I was a colleague of Mrs. Chikow at Calulmet High School from the late 70's to the early 90's.  I was manager of the Audio Visual Department at Cal and I always enjoyed interacting with her whenever she visited my domain.  May she rest in peace.  She was a lovely person to know.

Dear, dear Helen,  How I wil always remember our after work Friday nights at Pepe's, and at Angie's, and later our mornings at IHOP (we got smarter and graduated from beer to coffee!).  You tutored my son in math, and you always made me laugh.  I will forever think of you when passing an IHOP.  I now have another guardian angel to watch over me.

Helen, waaaaay back in the early days of Talman. You told me about a neighbor, on Kilborn. who came to you concerned about the water spots in her aluminum kitchen sink. Seems she couldn't get rid of them and asked your advice. You laughed, I laughed.  Water spots in a sink????  That's what You taught me. I tip my beer to you, always and ever.
