Irene Jean Van Sky O'Donnell

Irene Jean VanSky O'Donnell a sister to 13, a mother of five;grandmother of eight:great Nana to seven. A woman that encouraged life lessons of strength, independence, and inspired us all to achieve our goals and dreams. She was hardworking and dedicated to her family and the simplest things in life are what brought joy to her. She was more than just a sister, mother, grandmother, and Nana, she was a friend and confidant. She was beautiful, intelligent loyal and was known for her wicked sense of humor. Although she is no longer with us in the physical form she will forever be in our hearts and spirits. She was our true definition of an angel on earth.

Irene J. O’Donnell nee Van Sky, age 72, of Carol Stream, formerly of Glendale Heights, died peacefully at home August 19, 2011. She was born on November 23, 1938. Beloved mother of Irene (Joseph) Montana, Cynthia A. Schneider, Jeanette (Steve) Hughes, Pam (Randy) Simon, and Thomas; cherished grammie of eight and nana of seven; dear sister of Patricia Van Sky and Ginny Fernandez and beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews.
