James M. Narsete, 68, beloved husband and soulmate of Ginny, nee Hendricks; devoted father of Katrina (Rob) Perez; proud grandfather of Alex Leder and Sergio Perez; loving son of the late Eugene MD and Barbara (nee Griffin) Narsete; dearest brother of Gene Jr., Tom MD (Patricia) Narsete and Barbara (Michael) Mullins; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation Tuesday, April 13, 2021, 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service Wednesday, April 14, 2021, 10:30 AM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Avenue, Lisle, Illinois 60532. Interment Thursday, April 15, 2021, 11:00 AM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Chicago Honor Flight (Women’s Flight) or the PMML, Pritzker Military Museum and Library will be appreciated.

Jim graduated high school in Park Ridge at Main South in 1971. He continued on to Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa earning a B.A. degree majoring in Sociology and Spanish.
As a young man, Jim loved fishing in Northern Wisconsin with family, collecting turtles, driftwood and honing his culinary skills cooking Northern Pike. He would make driftwood into various art pieces. As a child he ambitiously tried to out fish his brother Tom, and earned money mowing grass. The fishing tradition continued as he loved fishing and bonding with his grandchildren Alex and Sergio.
He loved travel, estate sales, flea markets, biking, holiday dinners growing up and hosting holiday dinners for new family after he was married. He was especially proud of walking Trina down the aisle. His favorite music was the Doors, the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Freddie Mercury and Putumayo World Music. He also liked gardening, flowers (he was an expert on orchids) movies, music and his dogs Tico and Honey.
Financial planning his forte, he liked helping people with their financial goals. He enjoyed his time managing their Bed & Breakfast in Ohio. He liked supporting military and veteran’s charities, his retirement and his friends. He was a Board Member of the Navy League of the United States Chicago, active member with the Union League Club of Chicago, and he received various awards in financial advisor roles.
