I always valued that Jane thought it was important to take each one of her grandchildren on a special trip individually when they turned 9 years old or so. I’m sure those trips hold special memories for all of them.

Jane was a loving caring cousin to me. She and her husband Donne surprised me 11 years ago and drove up here to Wisconsin for my wedding.

My sister was the rock of our family. As the oldest sibling, she set the precedent for me as a woman, as a mother, and as a business woman in the education of children. Jane and my mother were influences in my knowledge of sewing which I reluctantly acquired. She set examples for active retirement by volunteering, keeping contact with friends, and maintaining the family together. I will miss her wry wit and her intelligence in my life. I cannot be present due to the special circumstances during this time. However, my thoughts and prayers are forever with Donne and the rest of our family. Jane sent me a number of her pictures during her principal years. I will try to share.
