Jean E. Roberts

Jean E. Roberts age 89, a longtime resident of Lisle, passed away on September 5th, 2023. Jean was born in Chicago on July 5, 1934. She married Russell C. Roberts in 1951 and has seven children, Russell P. (Elizabeth), Richard (Edna), Rebecca (Peter) Brown, Beth (Jose deceased) Vega, Roy (deceased), Randy (Patricia) and Barbara. Jean was Grandmother to 18 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Jean was also the dear sister of William Rahill (Gloria deceased), Janet (Donald) Moss (both deceased), and JoAnne (Robert) Newman (both deceased).

Jean and Russell lived in Lisle with their 7 children starting in 1960 and were very prominent in the Faith United Methodist Church, youth sports, civic organizations, and other activities.

Jean and Russell extensively travelled the United States and Canada, camping during family summer vacations and enjoying their Michigan lake home for the last 30 years. Jean’s biggest joy was her family.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Jean that will be held on Sunday, September 10th, from 4 - 8 pm and funeral services on Monday, September 11th, at 9:30 am at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Avenue (Rt. 53 between Ogden and Maple Avenues), Lisle, Illinois. Interment Beverly Cemetery, Blue Island, Illinois.
