

Jesse was born in Magnolia, Mississippi and grew up in Louisiana and Texas. He loved running and being outdoors and was always quick with a joke. He was very interested in history and loved watching war movies and westerns. His favorite and proudest accomplishment was flying helicopters for the United States Army.
Jesse was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967-1968 with Greyhound 21 – Mad Dog 33, the 240th Assault Helicopter Company, 214th Combat Aviation Battalion, and the 1st Aviation Brigade. After returning from Vietnam, he flew for the Texas Air National Guard for 8 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lois, and his two children, Julie Machalka (Mark) and Jesse W. Naul IV (Jessica). Also surviving are his grandchildren, Nathan, Annabelle, and Hallie Machalka; his brother Nick Naul (Karen), and his niece and nephews Katie (Rouse), Jacob, and Zeke.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse W. Naul, Jr. and Sara Ellen (nee Tycer) Naul.
Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Jesse that will be held on Monday, September 18th, 2023 from 10 - 11 A.M. at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Avenue, Lisle, Illinois 60532, with a funeral service at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
