We were so fortunate to have met Jim and Judi in Maui several years ago while on vacation. We instantly became friends as though it had been a friendship of years before. We feel so blessed to have made such special memories with them.
Jim was a wonderful and caring person and they just don't come any better than he was. He will be missed by so many that had the opportunity to know him over the years.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Judi and her family.

Jim was a kind and caring neighbor to my late husband and I for many years. He served on our homeowners association as a member and Board President, spending many long hours attending to association matters. He will be missed as a friend and neighbor to all of us in Seven Bridges Courts. Our community is a better place because of him. My heart goes out to Judi and all of his family.

Jim was a kind, caring man who helped countless number of students beginning when special education was still in its infancy with the famous PL 94-172 passage. As a former AERO special education coordinator, he was a great leader and truly cared about creating a collaborative cooperative which served the needs of all students with the member districts. Jim "listened" to everybody and never ignored the concerns of people at all levels of the organization. Even though I haven't seen Jim in over 30+ years since I left AERO, I will always remember the outstanding administrative team of Neil Mac Gregor, James Duffy and Tom Bever. Just about everything I ever learned about special administration can be contributed to the "trio".

Jim was a wonderful college friend at NIU and an inspirational colleague working with him in Special Education programs for students with physical and multiple disabilities. His leadership as a Special Education director at A.E.R.O paved the way for countless advances in services for children and set a lasting example for other professionals in the field. His legacy will live on. I will miss him as my friend, especially.
