

Joanne Laman, a longtime resident of Lisle, IL passed away quietly on Monday July 8, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura Kimes (Gerald), her father, John Kortus, her husband Harry Laman, her brother, Jack Kortus and her daughter Karen Bollnow.
In her younger days, she loved to shop, entertain, cook, travel, read, crochet, sew and spend time with her children and their friends… She was a devoted member of First Congregational Church in Lisle for over 55 years serving in many capacities including Deaconess, Sunday School Teacher and Women’s Fellowship. She enjoyed her 30+ years as a waitress and hostess at Andy’s Steak House in Oak Brook from where she retired. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and a faithful volunteer at the FISH food pantry in Downers Grove.
Joanne was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, wife and friend. During her final journey she was an example of dignity, strength, courage and fortitude.
She is survived by her children and caregivers Barry A. Bollnow (Candi) and Laurie Bollnow (Don Smyczynski) as well as Beth Bollnow (Vince Arnold) and Brian Bollnow (Rina), Jo was a loving Grandmother to her grandchildren Heidi Ecklund (Cory), Barry J. Bollnow, Levi Bollnow and Alexa Bollnow and her one great grandchild, Justin Bollnow. Her brother Terry Kimes (Kay) also survives her.
