Joe was retired and living in Lisle, IL. He graduated from Benet Academy in 1968 and Illinois Benedictine College in 1972. (Bachelor’s Degree: Political Science). He went on to earn a Master’s Degree (Urban Planning) from George Washington University.
Joe, a lifelong White Sox fan, loved sports, music and wildlife. (Especially reptiles and amphibians).
Joe is preceded in death by his beloved spouse Judie, his loving parents Joseph and Rosalie, his brother Jerome, and sister Rita. Joe is survived by his loving siblings John, James (Donna), Rosanne (Larry), Jeffrey (Cyndi), Jason (Terry), and Justin. Nephews Larry Petersen and Jimmy (Lauren). Nieces Lindsay (David) Conger, and Hannah. Grand Niece Emily Conger and Grand Nephew Jackson Conger as well as many loving cousins, extended family members and friends.
Services at St. Joan of Arc Church 820 Division Street, Lisle, IL 60532. Visitation Saturday, September 12, 2026 10:30am - 11:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30am. Interment private at St Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville, IL 60540.
