Joel A. Kagann; 76; beloved husband of Laurie nee Klauser; loving father of Joseph and Carol (Ted) Johnson; fond grandfather of Travis Kagann Johnson and Mackenzie Kagann Johnson; proceeded in death by his brother Aaron R. Kagann. Joel was a founding member of the Village of Woodridge and St. Scholastica Parish. He was proud of his involvement in the community as the Chief of Police and Mayor of Woodridge. He served as the Chief Deputy Clerk of Circuit Court of DuPage and retired as the Clerk of the Circuit Court. He had strong community involvement with the Lions Club, WSEC and KofC and was known throughout the village as “Mr. Woodridge”. Visitation, Monday, 3-8 pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave., Lisle (On Rt. 53, ½ mile south of Ogden Ave./Rt. 34). Lying in state Tuesday, 10-11 am at St. Scholastica Parish, 7800 Janes Ave. Woodridge, where Mass will take place at 11 am. Interment at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, IL.
