

passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020. He shared 65 yrs with his beloved wife, Agnes (Josek) Havrilla. They were members of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Community in Lisle IL for 32 years.
John was born on August 14, 1923 in Braddock, PA the first son of John Havrilla Sr. and Mary (Fialka) Havrilla.
He attended St. Michaels school and graduated from Braddock High School.
In April of 1943, John joined the Marine Corp and fought in World War II.
John worked for Sears Roebuck & Co for 40 years.
God, Family and Country meant everything to him.
John is survived by Sister-in-law Anne Josek.
Four loving children John E. (Barbara) Havrilla, MaryAnn Comm, Michael (Elaine) Havrilla, and Elizabeth Myers.

Fourteen Cherished Great-Grandchildren. Sterling, Lillian, Madison, Trenton, Logan, Emma, Liam, Genevieve, Mia, Hailey, Sophia, Grayson, Jase, Reagan.

A Friend to many. Loved by All. John will be deeply missed. He was brillant, kind, generous, a good sense of humor and strong Christian values. He loved to dance, listen to the news and discuss current events. He liked to watch basketball, baseball and football games with his family. He was always there to listen and cared so much for his family.
Service will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Blake-Lamb funeral home in Lisle IL. Visitation 9:00-11am.
11:30 am Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church followed by a procession to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery for military honors and committal at 2:30 pm
