John Douglas Stephen, age 85, a longtime resident of Downers Grove, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at his home. Beloved older brother to Walter Stephen and Jean (Stephen) Lacher. Also known as "Uncle" to Bryan Stephen, Scott Stephen, Cindy (Stephen) Schuler, Julie (Lacher) Sylvester and Ashleigh Lacher, and great uncle to many more. John was an active member of Hobson Road Community Church in Downers Grove for many years. John traveled to rural Kentucky twice a year delivering non-perishable food items, clothing, and other necessities to assist those in need.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday September 10, 10:00 AM at Hobson Road Community Church 2531 Hobson Rd., Downers Grove, IL
Interment was held privately at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie.
