Lynda and Chad again. Since we posted a photo of the four of us way back in bell-bottom days; we thought it might be a good idea to post a little more recent one from one of our get-togethers down here in Florida. Love to you, Joyce, and to all the Podlasek family!

Joyce, we will miss you so much! You and Wally have been our dearest friends since 1970 (for Chad) and since 1972 for the four of us! We spent our first anniversary with you in Chicago, May 1972. Thinking back on that Memorial Day weekend, one of our fondest memories of our friendship comes to mind. Craig was 11 months old, and he was going to stay overnight with Joyce's Mom and Dad while the four of us headed out to a nice evening at a restaurant/nightclub. Well, we had a great time together, but on the way home (after midnight), Joyce said emotionally that we needed to go get Craig before heading home! And so we did! We stopped by the Luciew's , rousted out Craig, and home we went! Chad and I weren't parents yet, so we didn't "get it".....why Joyce would pass up a "baby-free" night and a chance to sleep in the next morning! A little more than a year later, when our son Corey was born (and he didn't stay with a babysitter for six months!) we definitely "got it"! That's the kind of Mom Joyce was, and of course the kind of Grandma she was, too! Family first, last and always, and a friend you could always count on! Our love to you, Joyce, and to your wonderful family. Lynda and Chad

She was an amazing aunt. She always had a smile, her laugh was contagious. She is truly missed. I love you Auntie Joyce.
