Michael David VanDuzen

It is with great sorrow that we announce that Michael David VanDuzen, age 64, entered his heavenly home on Saturday, August 12, 2023, in Yorkville, IL. He was born on June 15, 1959, in Lisle, IL,the son of William and Joyce (Tucek) VanDuzen.

As a child, Michael loved playing baseball and was always a great sport, regardless of who won or lost. He always had a smile. Our family and our neighbors were affectionately known as the Front Street Crew. We played many neighborhood baseball games throughout the summer.

Michael graduated from Lisle Senior High School in 1977. He worked in the Heat-Treating Department at Rexnord Industries in Downers Grove, IL. It was a tight group, and the department ran all three shifts. He also lived in Las Vegas and worked in the restaurant industry.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, William VanDuzen and mother, Joyce (Tucek) VanDuzen as well as his sister, Jeannie (VanDuzen) Grenemeier and Susan (VanDuzen) Hunter.

Michael was very close to his family; his nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends during the holiday gatherings and we usually requested him to bring his specialty; Lasagna. He had a love for golf, the Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bears!

Michael is at peace and would want you all to know he says "Hi!". His witty humor, and pure, humble heart will be dearly missed.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Michael that will be held on Saturday, August 19th, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 12:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Avenue, Lisle. Michael will be laid to rest at Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien. For more information please call (630) 964-9392.
