Patrick, affectionately known as “Pat” by his grandchildren, was born in Danbury, Iowa to Earl and Bernice Barry. He was married to Phyllis Dornbusch, who preceded him in death 22 years ago.

Pat is survived by his children Roxann (Chris), David (Margi), and Brian; his beloved grandchildren Rebecca, Kyle, Ryan, and Nicole (Tim); and his great-grandchild, Luke. He is also survived by his brother Bernie (Patty) and his sister Rose Marie. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael.

Pat proudly served as an Atomic War Veteran, witnessing the testing of nuclear bombs in Nevada and the iconic mushroom cloud. His passion for cars was inspired by his family’s ownership of a Livery Stable, which eventually became one of the first Ford Motor dealerships in Iowa, “Barry Motor Company.”

A church service will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church in Lisle on Friday, June 20, 2025, with Visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., and a Mass at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial next to Phyllis at Clarendon Hills Cemetery.
