Richard A Guerriero

Richard A. Guerriero, age 70, of Lisle, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital while under Hospice Care. He was born on November 13, 1950 in Chicago to Alphonse and Edith (Raimondi).

Richard was a graduate of Western Illinois University, where he received his bachelor's degree. It was there he met his lifetime friend, Stuart Share. Through his career as a systems analyst, he made friends across the country and around the world. Richard was loved by all who met him. He had an infectious smile and wonderful sense of humor.

Richard was an avid golfer, Sox fan, Bears fan, Blackhawks fan, and a lover of rock music and fast cars. He was also a shopaholic. One of his favorite stores was Bed, Bath, and Beyond; second only to the grocery store. But most of all, Richard loved spending holidays and special occasions celebrating with his family and friends. He especially loved time spent with Jenny, Allie, Chris, James, and their beloved family dogs.

Richard is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Chris McCann), and Allison (James) Lemke; sister, Jeanette "DeeDee" (Doug) Matook; his puppy, Tucker; and his beloved granddogs, Sam, Leo, and Carl. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janice; and his parents.

A celebration of Richard's life will be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Avenue, Lisle, Illinois on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 4pm. Friends may greet the family from 3pm until 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 820 Division Street, Lisle, Illinois on Saturday, August 28th, 2021 at 11am. Interment will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery immediately following Mass.
