I met Rich for the first time a little over 20 years ago at my dad's golf outing in Lake Geneva. We could count on seeing him there every year, rain or shine. He brought a lot of jokes and competitive spirit to those 48 hrs. He made everyone laugh, especially me.  He was the life of the party and I will cherish those memories. We will miss him and we will celebrate his life with the group this May when we get together again. I'm sure there will be a lot of stories to share.

I’m so sad to hear about Rich’s passing. He was a huge part of my life when we worked together and I considered him a good friend.  I was blessed to know him. Peace to Linda and the family.  

I am so so sorry to hear of Rich's passing.  We became great friends over the years and he was a regular fixture at my golf event in Lake Geneva.  He was always the life of the party.   I'm sure that his new position is serving as God's arbitrator when he's not playing Golden Tee. 

.  We will miss him and not forget him .

Many, many great memories with Rich at numerous insurance functions, especially the Garvin Fram vs Great Lakes golf outings.  And the golf outings with Rich, his wife Linda, Jack and Barb Garvin and Theresa Noska will be forever in my heart.  RIP Rich.

My heart goes out to the entire Townley family.  Rich was a great guy.    My memories are:  Playing basketball on the side of the Townley's Nottingham house, too many times to count-with Rich and Ron Townley and all the other kids living on the "Circle" and the times I'd find Rich practicing his batting eye by hitting little rocks out into the swamp behind his house with a plastic bat.  He loved sports and was quite good at them.

RIP Rich---you will be missed.
