Rosanne Taube, nee Zito, age 83, a resident of Villa St. Benedict Retirement Community in Lisle, passed away peacefully on Nov. 20, 2021 due to complications from the COVID-19 virus .

Rosanne was the beloved wife of the late Michael Taube; loving daughter of the late Sam Zito and late Zena Scavone Zito; devoted sister of the late Fred Zito and late Joe Zito; and cherished aunt, cousin, family member and friend of many.

Rosanne was a graduate of Providence High School, worked at Chubb Insurance and was a dedicated volunteer at Villa St. Benedict for mass services, social activities, residents' council, newsletter and community improvements. She loved to plant flowers, enjoy restaurants, play games at the Lisle Park District Senior Center, support the arts and travel the world. Always, Rosanne will inspire us to be gentle, clever, adventurous and meticulous. She was fully vaccinated, then traveled out of state to watch hot air balloons rise at dawn. If you travel out of state, gain COVID testing before and after your trip. If you are exposed to the virus, gain in-person medical care.

Visitation will be Friday Dec. 3 from 3-8 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home 5150 Lincoln Ave. in Lisle. Another visitation will be Saturday Dec. 4 at 8:30AM followed by a 10AM funeral mass at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church 480 S. Park Blvd. in Glen Ellyn. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Villa St. Benedict Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Misericordia Heart of Mercy would be appreciated. Despite our deep sorrow at this time, Rosanne's kindness and love will glow in our hearts forever.
