

Stanley Edward Kocanda passed away suddenly on January 24, 2026, at the age of 64 years. He was born on October 3, 1961, in Chicago, IL, to the late Stanley Sr. and the late Frances (nee Perelka) Kocanda. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Janice (nee Colin). He graduated from Morton College with an associate’s degree in marketing.
Stan was a beloved father to Zachary (Sarah) and Matthew; dear little brother to Lydia (Joseph) Palicka, Linda (Nick) Jelic, and Janice Piell; loving uncle to Nicholas, Melissa, Sarah, Amanda, Daniel, and Lauren; loving great-uncle to Isabella, Nicholas, Lucas, Tyler, and Molly; dear brother-in-law to Ronald Colin and the late Philip Colin; and treasured friend, neighbor, and colleague to countless others.
Stan enjoyed tinkering in his garage, fishing, watching tv, and taking his beloved dog, Winnie, on walks in the neighborhood with his wife Jan.
A visitation will be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, located at 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle, IL 60532, on Friday, January 30, 2026, with visitation from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Chapel Service at 6:30 pm. Interment will be private.
