Dear Mrs. Jakubowski and family,

Although we never met, I am deeply sorry about the loss of Tom. I just found out by doing a Google search after missing his occasional emails after his move to the east coast.
We met at the St. Thomas jobs ministry where we shared frustrations of job search and later we were members of Planet Fitness. He would often tell me how proud he was of you with humor sprinkled in.
Tom was talented, fun, and a caring person. I will miss his voice and wisdom.
May the days be better for you. We are thankful (especially today) for knowing Tom.

Dear Jeanne, Lauren and Marta; Tom was the first person I met, two offices down from mine, when I started a new job at the NCI in Frederick a year ago. He was so welcoming, knowledgeable about Fort Detrick and the science being conducted here. You get to learn a lot about a person from their office, and clearly his family was most important to him. I'm glad to have met your husband/dad and for the short time I got to know him.  You are in my prayers for comfort in your memories and strength knowing he is forever a part of you. I loved viewing the photo gallery!

One of my favorite memories of Mr. J was from Lauren and Marta's graduation party (Lauren from vet school; Marta from law school).  He was so proud of both of you and I know he is smiling down on you - now and always - beaming at what amazing women you both are and how much you take after your wonderful mother.  Tony's and my hearts are breaking for your loss but we are praying for God's peace and love to surround and comfort you and all of Tom's friends and family.
