William Hinman Berry, 94, of Naperville passed away on Tuesday, Sept.13, 2022. He was born July 28, 1928 in Oak Park, IL to Mildred and Max Berry. He married his 1st wife and had 2 children. On Nov. 1, 1958, he married the love of his life, Patricia Mae Miller. They had two children, Tricia and Ross. Loving father of Kris Cromwell and Tricia (Tom) Drendel. Cherished grandfather of Jason (Hilary) Berry, Traci Cromwell, Lucas (Jen) Drendel and Cara Drendel. Great grandfather of Mariah Cromwell, Camille Cromwell, Addison Berry, Bryson Berry, and Levi Drendel. Dear brother of Sue Bissell, loving uncle of Cady (Scott) Ferguson, great uncle of Grier and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife, Pat, his son, Ross, and brother-in-law Jack Bissell. He graduated from Downers Grove (North) High School in 1946. He was involved in many clubs and track star in high school and college. He went to Grinnell College for 2 years and received his business degree from University of Iowa. He worked in the Hardware business his entire life. Going on to own 4 businesses in his lifetime, including hardware, lumber and needlepoint. He loved his family very much, enjoyed investing, flying small planes, playing his French Horn and running his businesses. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Marine's serving in the Korean War. A Memorial visitation for William will be held Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 1:00 PM until time of Memorial Services 3:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle. Interment private.
