I met Bill over 15 years ago through ProVisors, we had kept in touch over the years, an incredible, kind and selfless man. I am so sorry for your loss, Bill was always a man for others in how he approached fellow colleagues, non profit service and making the world a better place. Bill had been very generous with his time providing support, as I also have prostate cancer. I have only known Bill for 3 years as he was the consultant and I am on the board of our non-profit, Japanese American Service Committee Housing Corporation (JASCHC). As Bill learned that I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, he would reach out for lunch (as I also live in Naperville) and talk through phone or email.  I often joked with my family that I was in a 2-person support group for prostate cancer. Bill was extremely upbeat and positive, and that positive attitude on life helped me greatly going through this journey by having someone like Bill to talk to. It was a privilege to have known Bill. Bill and I worked together the past two years at the Diocese: he with Catholic Charities and me as General Counsel for the Diocese.  We worked down the hall from each other and he popped into my office often as we worked out together legal and legislative issues affecting Catholic Charities. What a delight Bill was to work with and a gift to Catholic Charities. Bill was intelligent, practical, generous, deeply spiritual, and had a wonderful sense of humor.  Particularly memorable was his love and devotion for his family.  Many lives were positively impacted and uplifted because of Bill's generosity of talents, support and spirituality.  We will always hold Bill lovingly in our grateful hearts.

Bill was a wonderful human being. May his memory forever be a blessing to those who knew him. My deepest condolences to Bill’s family.

The Wheaton Franciscan Sisters send condolence and promise of our prayers for Bill, his family and all of his colleagues. We were privileged to have lunch and a visit with Bill here at our Wheaton Motherhouse.  His compassion and caring for his colleagues and for all, who are served by Daybreak - and so many shone through him.

I would like to express my condolences to Bill's loved ones, family, and friends. Bill was a generous soul. He was generous with his time and his wisdom. We had a shared interest in working with nonprofits, and we would meet now and then to share stories and insights. We would get lost in conversation every time we met for lunch to catch up. I will surely miss those moments. What a GIFT it was to know him.

I had the pleasure and honor to work with Bill on a volunteer project with the Executive Service Corps. His dedication and commitment to the work was outstanding.  His insights and creativity contributed to the success of the project. I have the utmost respect for him and his work and appreciated his positive approach to life.

Bill will be missed as a valuable officer of the Margaret Mary Men’s club. Before many meetings he would sit down at a the “ Senior” conference able consisting of past presidents and inquire about the history of the Men’s Club and the purpose, objectives, goals, and social engagements orchestrated by the Men’s club. It was refreshing to see a current officer interested in the 45 year history of the men’s club. After reading the comments of many individuals it was apparent that he was a special person. To Bill's Family,
I met Bill over 20 years ago as a fellow colleague at the Chicago Business Network, and always enjoyed seeing him at our twice monthly meetings.
I like to speak about people in the present tense regardless of whether they are in this world or the next, so I'll say that Bill is a true example of a scholar and gentlemen. He is one of those rare individuals who is both smart AND kind, and I'll always remember that about him. Please accept my condolences on Bill's passing, and may his memory be a blessing always.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about his early death and know that he is in Heaven reaping all the good deeds he did on Earth.  My prayers are for his lovely family:  Cindy and their two sons. One of the non-profits where Bill has provided very valuable assistance is Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago (NHS).   His financial and accounting guidance helped NHS through some difficult periods.  Bill was a gentle, effective Man For Others, leaving us way too soon.

Bill was such a smart, warm, generous person who seemed to have boundless energy for supporting people and charitable causes. He was one of the best people I know, who really seemed to live out his faith.

I want to send sympathy to Bill’s family. I knew Bill well through his various ministries at St Margaret Mary including our Mediation Chapels/Stillpoint. He was a real gentleman- so kind and generous, and FUNNY! He helped me with resources when I was trying to help a refugee family purchase a home. He was never too busy to lend a hand. RIP Bill and put in a good word in Heaven for those of us here!

Bill and I met decades ago through the Chicago Business Network. What a wonderful guy. Through those meetings, periodice lunches at Jacks Restaurant in Skokie, and occasional attendance with him at First Friday lunches I became aware of his commitments to helping others through so many different non profits. I will forever miss his friendship and his  example of a life we'll lived. My condolences to you and his family.

Dear Bill. Rest In Peace. A terrific person.

Bill always had a kind word and helpful suggestion for any situation. He was so welcoming and helpful to our daughter Madeline when starting her career. And what a networker!  We are devastated that he was taken so soon.
