Born and raised in Chicago, Bill’s life was deeply rooted in the community he cherished. He graduated from Loyola University and went on to build a long and respected career in accounting and consulting. But beyond his professional life, Bill’s true calling was helping others. He devoted his time, faith, and expertise to countless organizations that strengthened families, supported the homeless, empowered youth, and cared for the elderly. Among the many organizations he served were Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Joliet, the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise, and DuPage PADS.
Bill had a gift for connection. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and, within minutes, make them feel welcome and at ease. His warmth, humor, and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Those who knew him best will remember his compassion, generosity, and the way his presence could fill a room with kindness and light.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Phyllis, and his brother, Phillip. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia; his sons, Kyle and Colin (Madeline); his sister, Mary; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. His family and friends will forever carry his spirit of love, faith, and service in their hearts.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 14, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Naperville, Illinois, with a gathering beforehand beginning at 10 a.m. For those unable to attend in person, the Mass will be available via livestream at https://smmp.com/.
