He was preceded in death by his parents, younger & only sibling, Raphael Zarlingo, and a special aunt, Inez Graham. He was born into a huge Italian family, on July 4th, 1947, with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is currently survived by numerous cousins.
Danny, as he was called by his family and friends, attended as a young boy, the Arkansas Children's Colony in Conway and then Pathfinders in Jacksonville. His father & mother owned Angelo's Shoe Repair in Jacksonville. His father, along with his mother, Aunt Inez and brother Ray ran this shop for many years. Eventually his brother and aunt took over for many more. Danny was there often and as he grew older was there every day, helping out around the shop. He enjoyed helping and working as he was able.
Since his brother passed away, Danny has spent the majority of the last 8 years in a nursing facility in Conway, The Blossoms at Conway. A very special cousin, Carolyn made sure he was being properly cared for while there.
Danny had a special kind of personality and was loved by many. He was very social and he knew everyone at the nursing facility and they knew him. When he had a visitor, he would take them around and introduce them to everyone. He was very matter of fact, polite, always asking about family. Those who were close to him will miss his laugh.
Danny loved the Lord and we are comforted that he is with his Savior in heaven, where he has been reunited with many of his loved ones.
