To the entire Hooper family: Beth and I send our condolences, sympathy and prayers to all of you. It sounds as if Ann was the prototypical matriarch of the family and we know the sense of loss of all generations of the Hooper clan.

Our prayer for you all is that you find peace and comfort in the promise of Easter.

Eternal rest grant unto Ann, oh Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

The Hooper Family: May God Bless you at this time of loss but also it is the time for the celebration of a life well-lived. Your mother and grandmother lived a wonderful Catholic life and raised a great family. Phillip, Hank, Sanford, Mark, Michelle and everyone in the family are dedicated to their families, the Church and our country. May Mrs. Hooper rest in the Peace of Christ with all of our loved ones who have passed away. Reg Rogers Catholic '77, Notre Dame '81

Diane, it has been many decades since I last saw your mom. I remember her as a young mother, full of life and with a good sense of humor. And I think that’s a good way to remember her. Condolences to you and your family.

Mrs. Hooper was truly a great lady and a great mother. She was always supportive and loving to her sons, most of whom I taught at Catholic High. It was my joy to celebrate the sacraments with her family, keeping God and the Church as part of their lives. It was always a pleasure to be with her and she was one of those rare persons that actually listened to what the other person was saying. I loved her, her children, and her grandchildren; I rejoiced with them in happy times through the generations and mourned with them during the difficult times. Surely, she will hear from God, "You did a great job; enter into the kingdom." I pray that her family will learn from the marvelous example she set.

I remember Ann as a wonderful Christian mother at a time when we both were rearing our children on Lakeside Drive. She can rest easy for she was a good and faithful servant. My love to all the Hooper family.
