Betty Jean Talley

She was born on January 21, 1931. She retired from the YMCA with 35 years of service, once she knew her great- nephew, Blake Bryant, would be born in May of 1991, she kept him from 6 weeks old until he started school. Then, picked him after school until he graduated. She also enjoyed watching over her other great- nieces and great- nephew .

She was predeceased by her parents, John W. “Bill” Talley and Lee Ella Kilburn Talley; and brothers John W. Talley II, and James Lee Talley. She is Survived by her Sister, Shirley A Martin, great- nephew, Blake Bryant (Hannah); nieces, Shyrll Bryant (Kevin), and Billie Garlin (Troy); nephews John Talley (Marcy) and Scott Talley (Suzie); along with several great and great- great nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the staff at Good Shepherd Nursing Center for their excellent care, especially Taniece and Haley.

There will be a graveside service at Martin Cemetery 2:00 p.m. , Thursday, December 17, 2020 with Rev. Greg Kirksey officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service at the cemetery.
