Betty B. Wade

Betty Jean Bryan (G.G.) Wade, of Little Rock died Sunday, December 27, 2015. She is survived by her husband Henry [Hank) Wyatt Wade, son Vernon Paul Wade, and his wife Elizabeth (Betty) Chess Wade, all of Little Rock, and one daughter Bette Wynne (Wendy) Bell and her husband Gary William Bell of Dallas, one granddaughter Wendy Michelle (Shelly) Wade Roberts, grandson Michael Wyatt Wade, great grandchildren Haley Christine Roberts, Isabelle Marie Wade, Evan Wyatt Roberts and Juniper Pearl Wade all of Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her son Henry G. Wade, Mrs. Wade was the only daughter of the late Paul Rosser Bryan and the late Lucille Powell Bryan . . She is also survived by her brother, Bobby Rosser Bryan and his wife Helen Bennett Bryan of Southaven, Mississippi and their daughter LeAnne Carol Bryan of Lawrence, Kansas and their grandson Conner Rossser Bryan of Sterlington, Louisiana. Mrs. Wade grew up in Madison and Shelby Counties in Tennessee. She was the granddaughter of the late Grover Victor Powell and Pearl Jones Powell of Huntersville and of the late Eldridge Tyson Bryan and [osephine Rosser Bryan of Denmark, all in Madison County, Tennessee. Betty and Hank married on August 21, 1948 at LaBelle Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. They lived in Cincinnati, Ohio and Memphis, Tennessee before moving to Little Rock in 1959. Hank and Betty founded and operated Wade Company, a Little Rock corporation. They were married for 67 years, She is a member of Pulaski Heights Baptist Church since 1960. She is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary Club Number 99, a loving gift in her name by her beloved husband for their 2000 Saint Valentines Day. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 followed by memorial services at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Healy and Roth, 5800 West 12 Street, Little Rock (501-661- 9111) with Dr. Randy Hyde officiating Burial at Roselawn Memorial Park, 2801 Asher Avenue, LittleRock, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights Baptist Church, 2200 Kavanaugh Blvd., Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.
