Betty C. Wrape

Betty Jo Christian Wrape, 85 of Little Rock passed away September 28, 2015 at home surrounded by family and friends. She was born October 17, 1929 in El Dorado, AR to Clarence A. and Bernice Byrd Christian. Upon graduation from Warren High School in 1948, she attended and graduated from St. Vincent Infirmary School of Nursing in 1951 and began working for Harold “Doc” Miller, MD until she married the “Love of Her Life”, William R. Wrape, II on February 14, 1953. Betty was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church for Fifty-Eight years where she was a member of the Altar Society and very active in the St. Theresa’s Catholic School PTA. She was a Lady Grand Cross in the Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem. She was an excellent cook, an avid bowler, enjoyed playing card games, was a great travelling companion and loved to shop. Her true passion was for her family and she displayed that love every single day. She is predeceased by her son, David D. Wrape and grandson, Gregory W. Wrape. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bill, three children; Genny Wrape Harrison (Bradley) of Natchez, MS, William R. Wrape, III (Carol) of Little Rock, AR and Mark C. Wrape of Lee’s Summit, MO. Grandchildren; Sarah Christian Harrison, William O’Connor Wrape, Mary Josephine Wrape, Sabrina Marie Wrape and Christian Lee Wrape. Also Very Special Care Givers; Angela Hill, Robyn Lemaire and Rosa Marshall. Visitation will be held today, Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 5:30 to 7:00 at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock, (501) 661-9111. Rosary to follow at 7:00. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday October 2, 2015 at 11:00 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church at 6219 Baseline Road. A short visitation will be held from 10:00 until the funeral service. Entombment will follow immediately after the mass at Forest Hills Mausoleum.
