Binh Van Tran, 79, passed away peacefully in his Little Rock, Arkansas home on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Born in Si Hoi, Vietnam in 1938, Binh Tran lived a hardworking, social life as a medic worker before immigrating to Arkansas in 1975. He was employed at a couple of restaurants, but decided to give them up for gardening and building furniture. His garden was filled with Vietnamese vegetables and his home was filled with a potpourri of furniture pieces, such as the dining room table, bookshelves, and bed frames. As long as he was able to, he helped care for his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Binh Tran will be missed. Binh Tran is survived by 2 sisters and 2 brothers, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Visitation will be Friday, August 25 from 8 am to 8 pm at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth at 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock. The funeral mass will be held at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church at 6219 Baseline Rd, Little Rock on Saturday, August 26 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Theresa’s Catholic Church will be greatly appreciated.
