Carolyn Marie Waddington

Carolyn Marie (Fisher) Waddington passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, to H.L. and Marie Fisher on November 12, 1942. Carolyn attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and graduated with a degree in Education. She met James Waddington in Little Rock, and the couple was married on June 13, 1964. Carolyn loved her role as mother to her two sons, James Hugh Waddington (Jodi) and Justin Heath Waddington (Leyla). While raising her children in Indianapolis she worked for ten years teaching nursery school at Castleton United Methodist Church where she also sang in the choir and enjoyed volunteering at the annual fish fry. Most recently she worked at Affiliated Foods of Little Rock from 1999 until 2010 as a receptionist until her retirement.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents H.L. and Marie Fisher.

Carolyn is survived by her husband and sons, her daughter-in-law, Jodi, as well as grandchildren, Jocie and Jolee Waddington, Michael “Mickey” and Harriet Waddington, David Waddington and many loving friends and neighbors.

She will be remembered for her kind nature and willingness to laugh. If you were fortunate enough to score a seat at the table for a meal she made, then you knew what a great cook she was. Her family will miss her dearly.

Graveside service to be held Saturday, at 1:00 pm April 4, 2026 at Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road,
