Upon graduating from St Louis University Jeanne worked as Chief lab technician at UAMS where she met her husband Dr. Kay McBride Kreth. Together they raised five children. In the late 1970’s Jeanne and her dear friend Kathleen Nolan Selakovich opened West and Nolan stores, the first retail outlets for Godiva Chocolates in Little Rock. Although Jeanne was mainly a homemaker, after the death of her husband Jeanne returned to work at UAMS in the orthopedic department until mobility forced her to retire at age 77.
She will be remembered by all who knew her for her beauty and grace.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband, son John Michael “Mike” Kreth and her daughter Julianne Jeanne Kreth. She is survived by three sons and their spouses Dr. Timothy Kerwin Kreth (Joyce) of Franklin TN, Paul Gregory Kreth (Stacy) of North Little Rock AR and Richard James Kreth (Kaye) of Little Rock AR. Five grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The Kreth family wants to thank the staff of Somerset Senior Living at Premier for the care and love they gave our mother.
Visitation will be at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 West 12th Street Little Rock Thursday October 28th from 5:00-6:30 p.m. with Rosary to follow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Holy Souls Church, 1003 N. Tyler Street Little Rock on Friday October 29th at 2:00 p.m.
