Chloe A Brucks

Born to a poor preacher and his wife, she was 12 years old before getting her first “store bought” dress. Flour sack clothes were all she had ever known.

No words could ever describe the love and devotion she had for her family and her church. She played the piano for Crystal Hill Baptist Church since the age of 15. She also played for many local revivals, vacation bible school, hymn sings, school events, weddings and funerals when called upon.

Mrs. Brucks is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Harry L Mowrey and Ethel Pool Mowrey, her brother, Sonny Mowrey, sisters, Freda Davis and Rosetta Calvert. And her husband of 72 years Bill A. Brucks.

She is survived by four children, Ted Brucks of Little Rock, AR, Glenda Harrison of Gig Harbor, Washington, Al Brucks of Cabot, AR, and Kent Brucks of Paron, AR. 9 Grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. In addition, a multitude of friends and neighbors. To know her was to love her.

Visitation will be at Crystal Hill Baptist Church on September 26, 2023 at 10:00 am and Celebration of Life at 11:00 with Rev. Robert Calvert officiating.
