

Colin LeRoy “Skeets” Stockdale Jr., 86, of Maumelle died peacefully in his sleep October 2, 2025. He was born February 12, 1939 in Greenville, Mississippi to the late Dorothy Elizabeth and Colin LeRoy Stockdale Sr.
Colin grew up in McGehee, Arkansas where he graduated from McGehee High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he was stationed aboard the USS Greenfish (SS-351). His commitment and excellence earned him several Commendation Awards, reflecting his deep sense of duty and honor.
Following his military service, Colin pursued a long and fulfilling career in pharmacy, serving communities across Arkansas for over 35 years. He was the owner and operator of PNS Drugs in McGehee, Arkansas, where he became a trusted and familiar face to many.
Outside of work, Colin found joy in life’s simple pleasures — playing dominos, enjoying a game of tennis, and spending cherished time with his family. Above all, he was a man of deep and unwavering faith, grounded in his relationship with God. His gentle spirit, kind heart, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Those left to cherish the memories of Colin include his wife of sixty-one years, Mary Ellen Stockdale; children, Holli (Erva) Doane and Donovan (Stacey) Ritchie Stockdale MD; grandchildren, Donovan Ross and Grant Presley Stockdale; sister, Sandra Louise Welsh; and extended family and friends that will miss her dearly.
A memorial gathering will begin 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Maumelle, with a memorial service following at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
