Dorothy was a beloved mother to many and a grandmother to all who had a blessing of knowing her. She was a woman whose life was defined by love, faith, kindness, and selflessness Those who knew her will remember her as one of the most selfless souls they ever met.
She lived her life serving God and others, always putting the needs of the people she loved before her own. Her love extended far beyond her immediate family. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence brought comfort, strength, and love to generations of her family.
Dorothy is proceeded in death by JD Martindale, Harold Nash, her precious daughter Monica Nash; her sisters Omega Ashley and Arvada Smith, great granddaughters Sara Lynn, Elizabeth Diane; and other family members who went before her.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her surviving daughters, Rhonda Young, Marsha Cole, and Angie Jackson, as well as her sister-in-law, Mary Martindale Rhoden.
Her grandchildren include-Kevin Young (Amy), Jennifer Laging (Aaron), Brent Weatherly, Danny Jackson (Cindy), Brad Jackson (Christi), Amberly O’Bryan (Joe), Amanda Eversole (Shawn), Ryan Weatherly (Traci), and Justin Weatherly.
Her great-grandchildren include-Blain Jackson, Caleb Hopkins, Zach Jackson (Taylor), Tristan Weatherly (Yeredith), Conley Lents, Taylor O’Bryan, Lexi Spurgeon (Dawson), Olivia Laging, Cade Young, Katie Beth Laging, Jojo O’Bryan, Jackson Laging, Kambree Jackson, Jarrett Weatherly, Zeke Young, Lyla Weatherly, Kingston Weatherly, Carter Eversole, Charlotte Weatherly and others who brought immerse joy and meaning to her life.
Her great great grandchildren include- Cohen Jackson, Drake Spurgeon, Colton Spurgeon, Oakleigh Hopkins, Ryder Harrison, Reece Harrison, and Henley Laging.
Though Dorothy is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely will continue through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and every life she touched. Her family will carry her memory forward and cherish the lessons she taught them through the way she lived: with faith, love, generosity, and a heart devoted to helping others. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered and forever cherished.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 1, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock, AR 72204
A funeral service will be held on September2, 2026 at 11:00 AM at East End Baptist Church. Interment will follow immediately at Salem Cemetery in East End, AR.
