Eleanor Charlyne HEARNSBERGER

August 18, 1925November 29, 2018

Eleanor Charlyne Webb Hearnsberger, age 93, of Little Rock, passed away peacefully on Nov. 29, 2018. She was born on August 18, 1925 in Chidester, Arkansas to her loving parents Otis Weaver Webb and Bertha Opal Webb Rose. The family is grateful for her lifetime of love and affection. After graduating from Fairview High School in 1943, she obtained her nursing degree from Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. There she was active in all school affairs and chosen "Queen" of the annual senior ball. While working as a nurse in Camden, Arkansas, she met and married her husband, Dr. Henry Hearnsberger. Together they lived in Stephens, Arkansas until 1965 where she and Henry raised four children. After a one-year residency in Topeka, Kansas, the family moved to Little Rock. In Little Rock, they enjoyed many great friendships but especially the “Golf Group”, traveling together on an annual trip to top resorts in the United States for many years. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and caring friend. She was the perfect partner and supporter for Henry, during his long hours working as a small town doctor or while he was away hunting with his friends and sons. She enjoyed using her medical training volunteering for many years with St. Vincent Auxiliary. Charlyne was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Henry Graves Hearnsberger, Jr of 57 years, her parents, and her sister, Helen Janelle Webb. She is survived by her four children, Carol Martin (Cole) of Clarksville, John Hearnsberger (Marcia) of Hot Springs, James Hearnsberger (Angie) and Dr. Henry Graves Hearnsberger III (Cheryl) of Little Rock. Eight grandchildren, Dr. Mike Hillis, Ben Hearnsberger, Haley Hearnsberger Sisson, Chris Hearnsberger, Hanna Hearnsberger, Will Hearnsberger, Allie Hearnsberger Bullock, Erin Hearnsberger, two great grandsons, Avery and Thomas Hillis and one great granddaughter, Ana Victoria Sisson. The family would like to extend their profound gratitude to Mom’s longtime caregiver Cassandra Booker for her loving care and attention and to the staff and caregivers at the Ginny and Bob Shell Alzheimer’s Center and the Parkway Health Center Nursing Care. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 pm, Sunday December 2nd at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock. Burial will be a family ceremony at Fordyce, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205.
