Emily Lucille Cole Burns passed away peacefully at 105 years old on Tuesday Nov. 21, 2017. Daughter, Bettie, survives her along with her 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, niece Barbie Gilbert Wise and 2 nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Everett Hale Burns and her son James Ewart Burns. She loved Jesus, her family and her friends. It’s comforting to know that she’s in heaven with them and sitting with Jesus helping Him run Heaven. A celebration of her life will be at Highland Valley Methodist Church in Little Rock on January 6, 2018 at 1pm with an Angel Food cake reception to follow.
